How to choose keycaps

Almost every set here uses MX-style stems, so it fits most mechanical keyboards. From there, four things decide which set is right for you.

1. Pick your profile. The profile is the shape and height of the caps.

  • Cherry — the low, uniform-height classic and the bulk of this collection (47 sets). It sits fairly flat and feels familiar on most boards.
  • OEM — taller with a steeper angle; matches what most stock keyboards ship with, so it’s a comfortable drop-in.
  • MAO / MOA / MAX / MSA — rounded, sculpted alternative profiles for a different look and feel.
  • Low-profile / clear (PC) — slim or translucent caps that let RGB shine through.

2. Match your layout’s key count. Key counts here run 107 to 207 keys. A ~130–140 key set covers most 60%, 65% and TKL boards; full-size boards and split spacebars need the 160+ key sets.

3. Check your bottom row. Non-standard spacebar and modifier widths are the single most common fit problem — especially on 65% and 75% boards — so confirm your layout against the key count on the product page before ordering.

4. Material & legends. Most sets here are PBT (dry, textured, resists shine). Dye-sub and double-shot legends for lasting clarity; choose a shine-through set only if you run RGB — dye-sublimated PBT blocks light.

Will this keycap set fit my keyboard?

Every set here uses MX-style stems, which fit most mechanical keyboards. What varies is the bottom row — check your spacebar and modifier widths against the key count listed on each product page, particularly on 65% and 75% layouts.

Should I choose Cherry or OEM profile?

OEM is taller with a steeper angle and matches what most stock keyboards ship with, so it feels familiar straight away. Cherry sits lower for a flatter typing angle. Coming from a factory keyboard, OEM is the lower-risk choice.

Which keycaps work with RGB backlighting?

Shine-through sets have translucent legends that let light pass through. Dye-sublimated PBT sets block light, so RGB shows only around the edges of each cap.

Is PBT better than ABS?

PBT has a drier, more textured surface and resists the polished shine that develops on ABS after months of use. Most sets in this collection are PBT; ABS is usually chosen for brighter, sharper colours.
