Mouse Skates & Mouse Feet
What are mouse skates? The small pads on the underside of your mouse that decide how it glides. Over months they wear flat, get dusty, and start to drag — replacing them is the cheapest way to get a smooth, scratch-free feel back, no new mouse needed.
All of the skates here are UltraGlide universal dots from Meow Gaming Gear. They fit most gaming mice without trimming. Pick by surface first, then by character — whether you call them mouse skates, mouse feet, mouse glides, mouse skids or mouse sliders, these dots do the same job: less friction, faster glides, cleaner stops.
How to choose
Guidance below is based on RawInput’s review of the Meow Gaming Gear / UltraGlide lineup (rawinput.net).
On a cloth pad → Silencers. The standout — a foam layer with low static / high dynamic friction gives responsive tracking and real braking. Best-in-class on cloth for the price. The Green and Purple variants are the same foam skate in a different colour.
On a glass pad → RS2 dots (the review’s “Rennsport”) for the smoothest glide on smooth glass, or the dedicated UPE Glass edition built for glass mousepads. Note the RS2’s flat shape can feel a touch sticky when starting a move on cloth, so keep it for glass.
On any pad / can’t decide → Speed dots. Neutral — they let the pad’s own friction show through and work well on just about anything.
Balanced, flat → ICE dots. Solid and comparable to Tiger Ice.
Want control / braking → Control dots or Breakmatt (the review’s “Brake”).
Not sure? Start with Speed on a mixed setup, or Silencers if you mostly play on cloth; go RS2 / UPE if you’re on glass.
Universal dots for your mouse model
Every skate in this collection is a universal round PTFE dot — no cutting, no custom shapes. You place them where your mouse's stock feet sit, and they work on virtually every gaming mouse. A quick guide by brand:
Logitech (G Pro X Superlight, G502, G304/G305): stock feet sit at the front and rear of the base plus around the sensor. Two dots under the sensor area and one at each corner-cover point replace the worn stock set. G304/G305 users commonly run three dots total.
Razer (Viper V2/V3 Pro, DeathAdder, Basilisk): ring-shaped or strip stock feet on these models wear smooth fastest. Dots at the front and rear of the base, plus one at the sensor surround, restore the glide — most players use 3–4 dots per mouse.
Pulsar (X2 series, Xlite): low-profile stock feet mean less material to replace. Two dots under the sensor and two at the corners cover the contact points on both the X2 and Xlite shapes.
Other brands (Wooting, Lamzu, ATK, Vaxee, Endgame Gear and more): the same rule applies — find the stock foot positions, cover each with a dot. If your stock feet are large strips, one dot per strip end works fine. The dots are pure PTFE, so they glide as well as or better than the stock feet they replace.
Not sure how many you need? A standard setup is 4 dots (sensor + 3 corners); a 40-pack covers roughly 10 full mouse refills.
FAQ
Are mouse skates worth it?
Yes if yours are worn — new skates restore glide for a fraction of the cost of a new mouse.
PTFE or UPE?
PTFE works on any surface. UPE (UHMWPE) is built for glass mousepads — smoother and more controlled on glass. Green/Purple are the same foam-layer skate as the Silencers, just recoloured.
How do I install them?
Clean the underside with isopropyl alcohol, remove old feet, press new dots under the sensor and corners, settle ~1 hour. About two minutes.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know when to replace my mouse skates?
When the glide starts feeling uneven, or you hear the mouse shell scraping the pad. Worn skates thin out unequally, so tracking feels inconsistent before the wear is visible.
Do universal dots fit any mouse?
They fit almost any shape, because they are small round pads rather than a cut-to-model outline. Peel off the old feet, clean the residue with isopropyl alcohol, then place the dots where the originals sat.
How many dots does one set cover?
One set covers one mouse. Check the dot count and diameter on the product page — larger mice with four contact points need more coverage than a small three-point base.
